The Senior Civil Designer will lead design efforts based on written scopes, using Autodesk Civil 3D and other engineering tools to produce detailed designs, specifications, and calculations that meet code and IMEG standards. Responsibilities include site assessments, technical reporting, client interaction, in‑process design reviews, quality‑control oversight, mentoring junior staff, and staying abreast of industry trends. Safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are integral to the role, as is participation in project interviews and presentations.
Candidates must hold a BS in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and have at least 8‑10 years of consulting experience (12 preferred). Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, strong leadership and mentoring skills, the ability to conduct final quality checks, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities are required. Additional expectations include detail‑oriented problem solving, adaptability, proficiency with MS Office, and willingness to travel up to 20%; sponsorship is not available.
