ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic, experienced professionals for a Consulting Utility Forester position, ideal for seasoned individuals with a background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related disciplines. The role involves identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines, submitting inspection results with recommendations, performing QA/QC, planning and directing tree‑clearance crews, negotiating access issues, and serving as a liaison among clients, crews, and customers. This position will be contracted for OG&E.
Minimum requirements include a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a closely related field, or alternatively two years of experience in utility vegetation management or a related area such as right‑of‑way management, integrated vegetation management, nursery work, or timber cutting. Candidates should have competent computer skills, preferably with GIS data‑collection software, be self‑motivated, organized, production‑oriented, and able to work independently managing a geographic area. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal abilities, multitasking, time‑management, and a valid driver’s license are also required, along with the ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules.
