MEP Plumbing/Firefighting

Description

Provides technical guidance and advice in relation to MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety and quality requirements. Supports the delivery of high‑quality, time‑efficient and profitable delivery, contributing to the compliance, governance, and assurance of the project. Develops effective working relationships with a range of internal colleagues and stakeholders.

• Provide robust technical support for MEP services throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear advice and compliance with standards.
• Contribute to programme management, health, safety, wellbeing, quality, and commissioning of the project.
• Support and coordinate with key stakeholders, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and team leaders.
• Assist in initial contract and scope reviews, advise on budgets, value‑engineering proposals, schedules, and trade contracts, and support commercial teams throughout the project.
• Perform scope reviews and advise on strategic project plans aligned with Mace operating framework and priorities such as prefabrication, commissioning, and safety.
• Review design information from consultants and trade specialists for compliance, coordination, completeness, embodied carbon, and operational energy per RIBA and BSRIA frameworks.
• Guide delivery strategies and programmes across all project phases, ensuring milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics, and sequencing are properly considered.
• Review commissioning strategies in line with Mace standards, including IST approach, ATPs, and soft landings.
• Identify risks proactively and contribute to mitigation planning.
• Analyse issues to drive continuous improvement and share lessons learned through knowledge‑share processes.
• Collaborate on net‑zero carbon transition goals, managing associated emissions and reductions during delivery.

• Hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Have relevant field experience.
