Design a path by which approved portions of Met and GIS’s internal SDK may be open sourced. Serve as primary maintainer and support for any open-sourced tools
Serve as developer of Applied Meteorology’s internal SDK and ecosystem of integrations. Responsibilities include architecture, environment management, development, secrets management, testing, CICD, documentation and training, and ensuring operability with other internally developed tools.
Design, implement and maintain the interfaces by which SMEs can configure and execute tooling with a focus on adoption and usability.
Serve as the primary data engineer for inputs to and outputs of internal energy assessments and techno economic analysis.
Ensure tools and data products are aligned with internal and industry standards and best practices.
Support analysis and tooling requests as needed and incorporate into internal SDK where appropriate
Design and implement technical solutions using data and software to meet business objectives. Primary products include wind and solar resource assessment, energy assessment, techno economic analysis, and forecasting analytics.
Build and support data integrations with external vendors, internal tools and corporate systems including, but not limited to Databricks Unity Catalog, Salesforce, Sharepoint, NEXUS and ArcGIS Enterprise.
Design, deploy, own, monitor and maintain scheduled Met and GIS workflows within Pattern’s Enterprise Architecture, in close collaboration with the Enterprise Technology team.

Experience with Agile, Lean, or similar team process frameworks (preferred but not required).
Demonstrated success collaborating across functions and disciplines to deliver complex technical solutions.
Demonstrated proficiency in scientific programming, data engineering, cloud computing and software development using python
Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning capabilities.
2-5 years experience in a similar role, with renewable energy industry experience preferred
Familiarity with GIS and SQL
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Atmospheric Sciences, Earth Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, curious and self-motivated
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms preferred with Azure and Databricks a strong plus
