The role supports production manufacturing by solving problems, improving processes, and resolving manufacturability issues. The incumbent leads cross‑functional teams to analyze and address scrap, customer, and production concerns, working closely with engineering to meet quality milestones.
Key duties include implementing ISO 9001 quality systems, identifying plant‑level gaps, and executing improvement activities such as APQP and Part Approval. The individual updates process control documents (pFMEAs, Control Plans, VOPs), applies statistical analysis (Cpk, Ppk), and supports supplier PPAP submissions.
The position also manages customer complaints, initiates corrective actions, and drives the plant’s zero‑defect initiative to reduce rework, scrap, and warranty costs. Ongoing responsibilities include maintaining procedures for ISO‑9001 and EQMS compliance and monitoring quality performance metrics.
Technical competencies required include inspection and testing tools, Microsoft Office, data analysis software, and problem‑solving methodologies. Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS‑16949, lean manufacturing tools, and Six Sigma concepts is essential for success in this role.
