The part‑time Custodian (Porter) is responsible for cleaning vacant units in preparation for marketing and occupancy, as well as maintaining property common areas, offices, and model units. The role reports to the Resident Manager and Property Manager and works closely with the maintenance staff.
Core duties include cleaning the business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments and common areas on a set schedule, preparing vacant apartments for showings, and maintaining the exterior landscape such as driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas and hallways. The Custodian also provides world‑class customer service by addressing resident concerns, reports maintenance problems to supervisors, assists with inventory control, follows safety guidelines, and performs other tasks as assigned.
Required competencies are knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment, preferably with experience in multifamily residential or commercial cleaning, the ability to follow directions, complete tasks on time and adhere to Cushman & Wakefield safety policies. A high school diploma, GED or equivalent technical/vocational training is required, with some related experience preferred.
The position operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment and requiring travel between properties in various weather conditions. Physical demands include climbing stairs, walking, standing for up to 85 % of the shift, and lifting or moving objects up to 25 lb regularly.
Compensation is $14.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package that may include health, vision, dental, flexible spending, health savings, retirement, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off.
