Tasks

-Proactively review current procedures and seek ways to improve processes to ensure timely monthly close, accuracy of accounting entries, and operational efficiency -Manage assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional team members in delivering high quality, decision ready information to our business partners -Assist in designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring accounting policies and procedures; and assist in internal control and process documentation -Analyze fluctuations and trends in financial statement line items and provide insightful commentary -Perform technical accounting research and draft technical accounting memos -Support accounting period close for areas of functional responsibility which may include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis -Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and financial statement disclosures -Support external audit requirements related to specific assigned areas

What You Bring

-Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels -Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience -5+ years of accounting experience preferably with a background in manufacturing, energy, or technology industries
