The Fleet Manager in the Job Site Solutions group is responsible for fulfilling customers’ contractual commitments profitably, covering equipment management, production optimization, safety, sustainability and financial performance. This role leads customer engagements, provides matrix leadership for contract execution, and aligns Caterpillar, dealers and end‑user personnel. The manager partners with dealer personnel to direct day‑to‑day activities and delivers on commitments by leveraging deep knowledge of Caterpillar and dealer capabilities. Innovative, value‑added solutions are created to improve site operations while growing profitability and reducing risk.
Successful candidates have direct field experience with Caterpillar dealers or customers and extensive hands‑on mining equipment management. They possess deep product knowledge, strong decision‑making and critical‑thinking abilities, and superior written and verbal communication skills for both technical discussions and executive presentations. Negotiation expertise, relationship‑building talent, and the ability to sell value‑based solutions are also required. These competencies enable the manager to customize solutions that align with customer needs and drive profitable outcomes.
The position is based in Tucson, AZ, with the option to work remotely from a Nevada home office, and may require up to 60 % travel to key customer sites. Domestic relocation assistance is provided, while visa sponsorship and international assignments are not available. The salary range is $126,000 – $189,000, supplemented by incentive bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
