The primary duties involve meeting prospective residents, assessing their housing needs, and conducting eligibility interviews. You will show vacant and model suites, quote rental rates, follow up with calls and literature, and collect application fees, security deposits, and rent payments.
Additional responsibilities include managing internet leads, maintaining social media engagement, completing applicant screenings, preparing leases and addendums, and ensuring accurate leasing records. The role also requires inspecting apartments for readiness, distributing move‑in packages, conducting outreach and marketing activities, monitoring competitor rates, and mentoring new leasing consultants.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree in customer service or hospitality preferred, and 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience. Knowledge of fair housing laws, affordable housing programs, Microsoft Office, and optional Yardi/CRM experience is required, along with a valid driver’s license and flexibility to work weekends. Compensation ranges from $18.55 to $25.97 hourly and includes a full benefits package, paid time off, 401(k) match, referral bonuses, and on‑site rental discounts.
