Thanks for stopping by and learning more about this role at Sitemate. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position focuses on qualifying and routing inbound leads across self‑service and inside‑sales channels. Success is measured by the number of product demonstrations booked and completed, with the team consistently meeting or exceeding monthly targets.
Sitemate builds mobile‑first software that modernises construction and industrial companies by replacing spreadsheets and paper with digital tools. Our mission is to help the built world capture, organise, and analyse information so projects can be delivered faster, safer and more sustainably.
Day‑to‑day, you will qualify and route inbound leads, spend most of your time contacting prospects via phone, email and live chat, and use internal tools like Slack and Salesforce. Your performance will be tracked by the number of demos booked and completed, with the current team consistently achieving ≥95 % of targets each month.
Challenges include learning the terminology of the construction and industrial sectors, quickly up‑skilling phone and email outreach, and mastering SaaS financial acronyms if you lack prior SaaS experience. The pace is rapid, so you must be comfortable learning extremely fast.
The role is ideal for ambitious individuals seeking a SaaS career, who thrive in a structured, high‑agency, KPI‑driven environment, enjoy building relationships and can persevere through high‑volume tasks. It is not suited for candidates who dislike frequent rejection, are uncomfortable with conversations, or prefer low‑interaction work.
Required skills include confident, clear communication across email, phone, video and in‑person settings, excellent writing and presentation abilities, and strong task organization and prioritization. Nice‑to‑have experience involves modern tooling such as CRMs, health‑scoring, live chat, knowledge bases, and conducting customer meetings digitally or face‑to‑face, as well as patience with non‑tech‑savvy users.
Compensation is offered on a total‑target‑earnings (OTE) basis of A$75,000‑A$110,000 including superannuation, comprising a base salary of A$50,000‑A$70,000 and commission of A$25,000‑A$40,000.
We offer competitive, performance‑based remuneration, equity options, 20 days paid annual leave plus sick, carer’s and compassionate leave, and generous parental leave (16 weeks primary, 6 weeks secondary). Additional benefits include confidential wellbeing support through an Employee Assistance Program, a professional growth budget with transparent career plans, laptop and home‑office setup budget, flexible remote or hybrid work, weekly catered lunches, global off‑sites, and Sydney HQ amenities such as a rooftop garden, wellness centre and cycle storage.
