The role is responsible for daily plant operations, including service shops, to maintain reliability and consistency on the production line. Work impacts both personal and team quality, and while tasks follow standard routines, there is flexibility to adjust the sequence as conditions change.
Production is executed per established instructions, with the employee expanding technical knowledge to support policy and strategy. The position requires an understanding of key business drivers, how the team’s work integrates with others, and limited autonomy to make decisions within defined parameters. It also involves troubleshooting using technical judgment and consulting senior staff when issues exceed guidelines, as well as leading junior team members when needed. In customer‑facing contexts, the employee builds strong relationships and serves as the liaison between the customer and GE, translating technical information clearly.
Candidates outside the USA need basic manufacturing and production experience, with education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma plus relevant experience. U.S. applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma/GED combined with at least six years of relevant experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
