- Lead and execute the development of combustion aero concepts from preliminary and detailed designs.
- Execute analyses to down-select new design solutions, to understand the impact of different design solutions on the air mixing fuel, emissions, performance, and dynamics.

- Background in computational methods applied in combustion simulations, realizing and selecting the method and software depending on the project’s time line; experience with engine performance (efficiency, emission, …) as well as details of combustion behavior (physical and numerical turbulent properties, un-mixedness, temperature fluctuations, flashback propensity); advanced combustion simulation methods, software and coding skills to be able to write customized post processing software suites.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
- 3+ years of industry experience. Including an understanding of thermo-acoustic behavior of combustion systems, ability to predict, analyze, and design damping systems to prevent operational instability.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred, or combined equivalent of educational/relevant work background.
- Requires global travel up to 20%.
