Mechanical Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for a Fixed Equipment Integrity (FEI) Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary integrity engineering team. This Perth-based role supports multiple onshore and offshore assets and plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity and reliability of pressure equipment across operations.

• Develop and implement procedures to ensure equipment reliability and availability
• Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Expert Group processes
• Assist planners and schedulers with compliance-driven work orders
• Execute Management of Change (MOC) reviews
• Provide technical support to Maintenance & Reliability and Operations teams
• Work across multiple onshore and offshore assets
• Develop integrity management plans, focusing on “grey zone” items (e.g., flexible hoses, hydrocarbon tubing, non-return valves)
• Provide on-site support during Turnarounds and execution activities
• Act as SME for bolted joint assembly, design, and troubleshooting
• Lead the Pressure Relief Device (PRD) integrity program
• Support risk assessments for continued operation
• Conduct Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments and collaborate with internal/external SMEs
• Ensure compliance with corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and execute repair strategies for anomalies and major repairs

• Process plant or offshore platform experience preferred
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Operational experience in LNG or complex processing facilities
• Practical and pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Ability to navigate conflicting procedures and internal requirements
• Experience conducting Fitness for Service assessments
• Demonstrated ability to build key relationships across teams
• Ability to evaluate operational risk due to equipment integrity concerns
• Knowledge of bolted joint assembly, piping stress analysis, and pressure vessel design
• Strong analytical skills to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive implementation
• An engineer with operational experience who can build relationships and align cross-functional teams
