The Role

Overview

Design civil/structural drawings & models for industrial projects.

Tasks

-Produce 3D and 2D civil grading drawings including plan view, alignments and quantities. -Produce 2D structural design drawings for concrete, structural steel structures and foundations. -Use AutoCAD, MicroStation Revit, Inroads and Civil 3D software to develop design drawings and models. Other Computer Design/Drafting equipment/software may be required to meet customer requirements. -Provide high quality CAD-based design drawings, details, sketches and 3D models that are Civil/Structural related and support for other disciplines such as Piping, Mechanical, Materials Handling, Electrical and Automation. -Coordinate work with other disciplines such as Piping, Mechanical, Materials Handling, Electrical and Automation in projects assigned. -Produce 3D models using Navisworks and Smart Plant 3D. -Check the accuracy and quality of drawings developed by others based upon information conveyed by engineering calculations and sketches, equipment and discipline drawings, governing design codes, standards, and good engineering practices. -Review vendor shop drawings for conformance to design drawings. -Perform site inspections to verify as-built conditions and to develop scope.

What You Bring

-Registration or eligibility with ASET -A self-starter with strong technical, interpersonal, teamwork, communication and organizational skills -5+ experience in design for brownfield and/or greenfield utility, oil & gas, oil sands, refinery, mining or industrial projects. -Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) -Work with Advanced Steel, CADwork, Autocad and Civil 3D. -Experience in oil & gas, oilsands, refinery, mining and industrial projects -Minimum 5+ years of experience. -Proficient with Microsoft Office
