What you would be doing

  • Work effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems
  • May be required to climb ladders and work from various heights
  • Communicate issues to central office in a timely manner
  • Create and implement Lutron programming to fit Visual Comfort Systems standards and client expectations
  • Exhibit and adhere to the established Visual Comfort Company Values
  • Install low-voltage keypads and button kits on an as-needed basis
  • Coordinate with trade partners and clients onsite as needed
  • Attend industry specific trainings and stay current on technologies and techniques
  • Activate devices and troubleshoot systems as needed
  • Provide daily reports with description of work performed

  • Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Lutron certifications a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • Some experience with programming Lutron RadioRA and HomeWorks or similar lighting control systems preferred.
  • Must have great troubleshooting skills and ability to solve issues onsite.
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating Systems and Software
  • Familiarity with light qualities such as color, color temperature, and dimming levels, plus how these qualities affect the appearance of a space.
  • Be fully present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule
  • Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • Fine tune programming files in the field
  • Professional demeanor required for client interactions.
  • 50% domestic, road, and air travel with some overnight stays required.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings
  • Must have experience using hand and power tools
