Performs custodial duties on equipment and buildings, and maintains clean and orderly equipment storage areas, restrooms, locker facilities, and vehicles.

Dismantles machinery or equipment to access defective parts, and repairs or replaces using various hand tools.
Checks plant boiler systems for proper operation and water levels, and maintains as necessary.
Works cooperatively with other Utility departments and staff to respond appropriately to emergency situations, or assist on projects in the plant, service building and distribution system.
Installs, maintains, inspects, and repairs chemical feed systems, pumps, injectors, and piping.
Maintains and repairs small gasoline engines and related power equipment.
Assists electrician in installing, maintaining, or replacing electrical equipment and apparatus.
Maintains generator plant for preparedness during emergency events and non-emergency testing.
Installs, maintains, inspects, and repairs pumps, pipes, gauges, meters, valves and plumbing.
Follows equipment O&M manuals for proper intervals of preventative maintenance, and maintains accurate O&M repair records and reports.
Installs, maintains, inspects, and repairs the HVAC system, including heating system valves, radiators, and plumbing.
Verifies delivery manifests and unloads and stores supply shipments; notifies supervisor when inventory supplies require restocking.
