Join the Heritage Home Service team as the Plumbing Permit Technician at our Wilmington, MA location. The Plumbing Permit Technician (PT) is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of permits across all trades. This includes pulling permits, coordinating inspections, and ensuring timely closures. The PT plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with municipal regulations and protecting the company’s ability to operate in all service areas.

The PT pulls and closes permits for all jobs, coordinates with municipalities to schedule inspections, and attends on‑site inspections when needed. They prioritize recent installations and high‑volume municipalities, focusing geographically to eliminate backlog, and self‑dispatch to 3–5 inspection appointments per day. The role also maintains accurate records, provides weekly email reports, updates the permit backlog tracker, communicates support needs, and logs inspection outcomes in Service Titan.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Journeyman Plumbing License and possess strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills. The ability to work independently with a field‑based schedule is essential, and familiarity with municipal permitting processes and Service Titan is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
