Key duties include drafting and managing various acquisition documents such as RFIs, acquisition plans, brand‑name justifications, RFQs, statements of work, and independent government cost estimates. The coordinator conducts outreach to customer offices to gather use‑case information, facilitates data‑call collection, writes use‑case narratives, and assists in assembling the overall acquisition package. Additional tasks involve meeting facilitation, note‑taking, interaction with OEMs and contractors, and providing administrative support for timekeeping, budgeting, asset management, and program communications.
The Acquisitions Project Coordinator supports a federal client by coordinating contracting activities and developing acquisition documents for professional services, software, hardware, and other IT equipment. Working under the supervision of the project manager, the coordinator helps execute project delivery, craft acquisition strategies, and produce planning documents. Prior experience with federal contracting is preferred but not mandatory.
Applicants must hold an active Secret security clearance and possess either a bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in acquisitions, contracting, business analysis, procurement, or qualitative/quantitative research, plus at least two years of direct experience in those areas.
Preferred qualifications include two years supporting multidisciplinary teams, experience developing FAR‑compliant acquisition packages, strong project/program management skills, proficiency with Microsoft O365, familiarity with State Department operations or federal budgeting, and knowledge of IT products and services. Strong oral and written communication, meticulous attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are also valued.
The position offers a salary range of $74,000 – $124,000, with compensation determined by factors such as skill set, experience, clearance level, and certifications.
