Construction Manager

Description

• Aid in the production of programmes
• Maintain financial forecast of project with PM & QS
• Produce incident investigation reports including action plans
• Assist with site audits suggesting improvements as appropriate
• Provide technical assistance to the Project Managers, Site managers, site supervisors and in-house designers as appropriate
• Attend meetings with Project Managers, Designers and Clients
• Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, experience and mentoring
• Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, site teams and sub-contractors via management meetings, team meetings toolbox talks and day to day discussions
• Support build ability reviews
• Budget management for departments and projects
• Assist in investigation of incidents with an appointed H&S advisor
• Oversee Quality and maintenance of Quality Records
• Ensure company procedures are followed and assist senior management in developing the company safety management systems in accordance with good working practice, legislation and experience
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate records to ensure recovery of asset values together with as-built records
• Aid with pre-qualification tender submissions & pre-acceptance issues
• Assist in Procurement of SC packages (with QS)

Requirements

Avove is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Severn Trent framework. Reporting directly to the Framework Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities and managing site teams on Clean and Wastewater Non-Infrastructure projects across the region.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Experience interfacing with developers and utility companies
• Knowledge of utility adoption standards
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Project management expertise
• Proven ability to manage direct labour and subcontractors
• Experience resolving contractual disputes
• Technical and practical skills
• 5+ years management or supervisory experience in utilities or construction
• Track record of successful project delivery
