Senior Renewables Engineer

Description

Reporting to the Lead Engineer Renewables, this is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Renewables Engineer with flexible work arrangements to be based out of any BEE Office. The Senior Renewables Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing renewable energy systems, such as solar, wind, and BESS systems mainly at utility scale level.

The Senior Renewables Engineer will gain an understanding of the project requirements, perform detailed design, and collaborate with the project team to deliver projects to deadlines to the required standards and within budget.

• Partnering with clients from feasibility stage through to commissioning
• May include project management support of renewables projects, including schedule, budget, deliverables and quality assurance within scope of speciality
• Mentoring and development of junior engineers and the review of their work

Requirements

• Technical due diligence on equipment
• Bachelor's degree in either Electrical Engineering, Renewables Engineering or related field
• Value engineering concepts and safety, constructability and operational impacts on the design of the renewable plants
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Must have full work rights in Australia,
• Engineering design skills, including the ability to design renewable energy systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• CEC accreditation for PV systems, Off-Grid Systems, BESS systems are highly regarded
• Experience with developing cost-effective and technically-proven detailed design solutions
• Solar Farm, BESS & Wind Farm designs including yield calculations and understanding of performance guarantees
• Experience of 5+ years in renewable engineering. Experience in utility scale projects of PV, BESS or Wind is highly regarded
• Experience with modelling software like PVSyst & Homer is highly regarded
