Ensure alignment of costs with the programme and resource where necessary
Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned financial position with the Project/Programme Plan.
Arrange timely planning workshops and reviews with the team
Support the project manager to identify options to optimise delivery through resource smoothing, resource levelling and rescheduling of activities.
Developing and maintaining integrated schedules ensuring interface milestones, WBS, client governance gateways (not exhaustive) are captured correctly.
To work with and support the Planning Manager’s and Project Controls lead with project assurance processes such as the Integrated Baseline Reviews and Schedule Peer Reviews.
Analyse performance data, looking at trends to identify areas for improvement and collaboration, and selecting appropriate methods and tools to resolve them.
Providing monthly progress updates and input into reporting requirements (internal and external)
To work with the team to provide monthly reporting inputs and outputs as per our own and client’s processes and requirements.
Planning Tranche 5 works in P6 and also supporting engineers in Aphex.
Support the risk analysis process and integrate the QSRA outputs into the project and/or programme baseline(s).
Ensure that stakeholder requirements are understood and addressed in reporting arrangements.
Apply Earned Value Management techniques
Ensure compliance with quality management systems (internal and external)
To monitor progress, identify any potential risks and issues and make necessary adjustments.
Contribute to capability building and the use of best practice in planning and reporting.
Challenge and define project assumptions to ensure that plans are realistic and achievable.
Provide advice on planning processes and different tools that could be used throughout the lifecycle of the project.
To work collaboratively with the supply chain and partners ensuring the integrated schedules are developed and maintained providing the client with confidence.
Analyse schedules and provide critical path analysis and proactively manage activities and milestones and ensuring constructability, phasing and sequencing are embedded in the integrated schedules
To input into planning workshops, provide adhoc schedules as required, ensure cost forecast is in alignment with the schedules and input into risk workshops and risk reduction meetings.
Co-ordinating and managing, within the integrated schedule all interfaces with other programmes occurring concurrently with the overall client programme
Analyse interfaces and dependencies between projects for different scenarios and recommend appropriate actions where anomalies exist or there are areas of concern
Develop breakdown structures, quality criteria, product descriptions and monitoring strategy.
Administer the programme part of the NEC contract, both with the client and with sub-contractors. Assess sub-contractor programmes for acceptance and impact programmes. Prepare impact programmes and narratives for the contract with the client.

Positive and enthusiastic approach and able to work without day to day supervision Airport experience
HNC/HND, degree qualified or experience in a planning related discipline
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills and Ability to influence stakeholders
Experience of quantity tracking
Substantial project and construction planning experience
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders Understanding of budgeting, change control, earned value, risk management and other project controls techniques
Experience of civils, fit-out and M&E construction projects
Experience / understanding in the interpretation of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools
High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills
Excellent MS Office skills
Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment
Use of Aphex planning software
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
Experience of Earned Value Analysis
