This position offers the chance to apply and grow an academic background in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering. As an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer you will join project teams designing new upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities, handling tasks such as P&ID development, I/O lists, control panel design, control narrative, network architecture, cable schedules, location plans, and specification preparation for procurement and installation. You will also participate in process hazard analysis, design reviews, and interact directly with client representatives to address design questions, while traveling to client and vendor offices and plant sites for coordination and verification. The role includes hybrid work, three days in the office and two remote days, and supports career development through mentoring and technical sessions.
Required qualifications include a BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering with coursework in analog and digital control systems, plus at least six years of relevant oil and gas or industrial experience. Candidates must understand practical instrumentation and controls engineering, be proficient with MS Office (especially Excel), and possess strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork ability. Preferred but optional credentials are FE exam completion, Engineer-in-Training designation, PE licensure, knowledge of design techniques and AutoCAD, and experience with SCADA and radio networks.

The compensation range for this role is $82,380 to $125,860, with a base salary or hourly rate plus a benefits package and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
