The Siting Lead will lead routing and siting studies, prepare state Public Utilities Commission (PUC) CPCN applications, and perform senior‑level QA/QC reviews of deliverables and regulatory filings. Responsibilities include developing siting strategies, implementing public outreach, environmental permitting, and GIS processes, and coordinating with clients to ensure successful outcomes. The role also manages growth of new and existing client relationships, supports business‑development leaders, and leads pursuit efforts such as scope, schedule, and cost development while guiding interdisciplinary project teams.
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Siting Lead to join its Energy Transition team and grow the expanding siting and routing business across the United States. The role supports clients in power generation, transmission, oil and gas, and renewable energy sectors, combining client development with project delivery while working collaboratively in a diverse team. The position follows a hybrid work structure with remote and office work as needed and requires periodic travel of 10‑15%.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, urban planning, GIS, engineering, biology, ecology, or a similar discipline, and at least 12 years of experience leading electric transmission line and substation siting projects. Candidates must have 8+ years leading technical teams, managing schedules and budgets, and delivering high‑quality work, as well as 5+ years leading project pursuits and CPCN filing processes. Experience collaborating with scientists, engineers, archaeologists, and other specialists, along with client development and networking skills, is also essential.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in a related field and experience with statistical analysis, raster‑based siting studies, and expert witness testimony.
