Project Manager – QPESA (Environmental)

Description

This individual will take a senior leadership role within the Environmental team, managing complex site assessment and remediation projects while providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate staff. Key project responsibilities include Phase I & II ESAs, Excess Soil Management, and Record of Site Condition (RSC) filings, in line with O.Reg. 153/04 and O.Reg. 406/19.

You’ll also collaborate closely with senior management, contributing to team development, technical reviews, and overall project delivery success.

• Lead Phase I/II ESA, RSC, and soil remediation projects
• Oversee scope, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication
• Conduct senior technical reviews and regulatory submissions
• Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary environmental team
• Actively participate in client management and business development
• Support employee development and knowledge transfer

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Ontario environmental regulations and best practices
• Strong communication, leadership, and technical report-writing skills
• Experience managing teams, budgets, and multi-phase projects
• Qualified Person (QPESA) designation (mandatory)
• Strong project diversity and client portfolio
• P.Eng. or P.Geo. in Ontario
• Minimum of 10 years of applied experience in environmental consulting
