Finance Manager

Description

You’ll be a key member of the European management team, working closely with the VP of Europe and COO to drive strategic financial decisions, operational resilience, and business growth.

• Oversee all financial operations across the UK and European markets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with group protocols
• Lead on audit processes, tax compliance, and cross-border financial regulations
• Deliver insightful financial and ratio analysis, and make strategic recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
• Work closely with the offshore finance team in Kuala Lumpur to ensure seamless reporting and operations
• Champion a collaborative team culture while mentoring and supporting junior staff
• Leadership & People Management: Leads by example, encourages team growth, provides feedback, and drives performance improvement
• Support client teams with project financials, pitches, and performance reporting
• Develop and implement workflows, tools, and procedures that support best-in-class financial management
• Quality Focus: Monitors performance, applies feedback, and looks for continual improvement opportunities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end, and year-end processes
• Customer Focus: Responds promptly to internal/external client needs, maintaining high standards of service

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with an agency background (preferably within events or brand activation) and strong experience across UK and European markets, particularly in navigating the post-Brexit business landscape.

• Familiar with financial, tax, and operational frameworks across the UK and Europe

• Technical Finance Skills: Continuously improves own capabilities and shares expertise across the team
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Business Acumen: Understands commercial dynamics, market challenges, and the profitability impact of decisions
• Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator who can present financial concepts to non-finance audiences
• Strategic Thinking: Aligns financial planning with organisational goals, adapts strategies to shifting markets
• Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Finance Business Partner role
• Problem Solving: Tackles challenges methodically, offering thoughtful solutions and collaborating effectively with others
• Systems Experience: Working knowledge of Epicor Financial Systems is highly advantageous
• Analytical Thinking: Able to synthesise complex data, design effective workflows, and use data-driven insight with intuition to drive results
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Epicor is a plus
• Agency background (events, brand activation, marketing services) preferred
