The intern will support design and construction projects involving roadways, utilities, sewers, and bridges. Responsibilities include preparing schematics and models, performing engineering calculations, and assisting in the development of plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports. The role also involves construction management tasks and ensuring project quality and schedule adherence.
The position requires at least two years of college education, preferably from an accredited engineering program, and basic engineering and Microsoft Office skills. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lb, and occasional outdoor work. The work environment is primarily an office setting with normal business‑hour availability, and the intern must complete state‑required competency training and attend relevant seminars.
