While this is a leadership position, the Electrical VDC Coordinator is expected to remain hands-on, contributing directly to modeling and coordination tasks to stay aligned with technical standards and software updates, and to actively support the team when needed.

The Electrical VDC Coordinator is responsible for meeting modeling and coordination objectives according to client expectations—focusing on electrical systems within MEP projects. A key challenge of this role is stakeholder management, as it requires effective communication with internal teams, external vendors, and clients. The coordinator acts as the central point of contact for all coordination efforts related to the electrical scope.

An Electrical VDC Coordinator at ENG plays a critical role in leading the coordination of electrical scopes in BIM projects. This involves managing workflows for teams of modelers and specialists, maintaining alignment with project schedules, and ensuring technical excellence across all deliverables.

The Electrical VDC Coordinator has decision-making responsibility within the electrical scope of the project. This includes defining workflows, supporting team composition, addressing coordination issues, and collaborating closely with PMs, other discipline leads, and clients to ensure alignment across all project phases.

  • Client Interface: Act as a technical point of contact for the electrical scope in coordination meetings and review sessions.
  • Technical Support: Provide mentorship and training to team members while contributing directly to model production when needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain regular communication with internal teams, clients, and other trades.
  • Team Coordination: Guide and support modelers and BIM specialists working on the electrical scope.
  • Project Execution: Ensure timely delivery of models and drawings that meet client expectations, technical accuracy, and constructability standards.

  • emerged to bridge the gap between digital models and real‑world construction through hands‑on field BIM.
  • its team has completed more than 6,500 projects—spanning data centers, healthcare, airports, factories, and more—while launching innovative tools like BIM EstiMate.
  • Its hallmark lies in integrating MEP modeling, laser scanning, and VDC management with shop‑level prefab coordination to streamline build cycles.
  • Projects range from semiconductor fabs to major airport terminals, all supported by full‑lifecycle BIM: from initial modeling through 4D sequencing, 5D cost planning, and digital twinning.
  • Uniquely, eng builds its own SaaS solutions—like YouBIM for FM, FieldGenie for field access, and SirVey for laser‑scan networks—extending BIM value beyond the screen.
  • Financially, eng has scaled as one of the nation’s largest BIM production providers, fueling growth through recurring work in both private and public sectors.
  • Despite modern software and AI partnerships, its edge remains human‑centered: engineers and techs who know both Revit and the reality of cranes and pipes.
