ICT & SCADA Design Engineer

Description

• Provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams
• Prepare discipline design, studies, calculations and documentation to support feasibility studies
• Participate in formal engineering review processes
• Provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support
• Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
• Provide input into capital estimates and project schedules

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
• Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
• Experience in the design, specification, configuration, installation, expansion and optimisation of communication systems and associated infrastructure, such as wireless, fibre optic, CCTV, security and access control, IT networks and server rooms
• Good knowledge of the protocols used in industrial control systems
• Current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to ICT and SCADA systems engineering ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures
• Preferred experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
• Demonstrated design and engineering experience in heavy industries such as energy, infrastructure or mining and metals
• 5+ years of experience with CPEng or equivalent is desired
