The role is responsible for managing and optimising the SEBL IT delivery portfolio to enable both operational excellence and strategic outcomes. You will provide clear delivery guidance and assurance across a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes, ensuring they meet agreed quality, time and cost standards in line with best practice and the SE delivery framework.
A key focus is driving portfolio efficiency, transparency and alignment to IT and business strategy, with a strong emphasis on outcomes, benefits and OKRs. You will also shape new IT demand, manage risks and dependencies, resolve delivery blockers, and ensure effective governance and reporting.
You will provide leadership, line management and coaching to a team of project and programme managers, fostering a high‑performance culture and supporting the development of delivery capability across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the PMO and external vendors, you will balance demand, capacity and resources across a complex and evolving change landscape.
Success in this role requires proven experience delivering complex, large‑scale IT projects and programmes, strong project assurance and governance skills, and the ability to assess feasibility and mobilise change initiatives. Demonstrated people leadership, team development, and extensive experience managing IT vendors are also essential.
