Transforms power transmission using superconducting cables to deliver 5‑10× more power in the same voltage and corridor
The Field Technician role starts with a 3‑6 month headquarters training period to learn the end‑to‑end system, its construction, operation, and installation procedures before moving to a customer‑facing field position as the company rolls out pilot projects.
In pilot deployments, the technician travels to sites to install mechanical, electrical, and cryogenic components, assist with commissioning and functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and relay feedback to engineering while supporting maintenance and diagnostics.
During the initial ramp, the technician learns system architecture, supports assembly and testing, gains hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical, and cryogenic installations, and documents procedures, quality standards, and inspection protocols.
Successful candidates have a hands‑on technical background in field service or installation, are comfortable with hardware, tools, and lab/field environments, eager to learn complex mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems, and possess strong attention to detail, safety orientation, and communication skills.
VEIR offers a base salary of $65,000‑$80,000 plus equity and benefits, with compensation determined by experience, skills, certifications, and location.
