- Confirm bore path with Field Supervisor/Construction Manager and drill operator (including walking the bore path)
- Perform job site analysis (JSA) and complete required paperwork
- Ensure proper clearances to install the product per standards
- Record the depth of the tool head as required
- Position drill head correctly at the exit pit for product connection
- Locate other utilities and maintain clearances from utilities, ground, road, highway, sidewalk, and non‑pedestrian areas
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Adhere to OSHA safety requirements for safe and efficient job completion
- Maintain regular phone communication throughout the workday
- Prioritize multiple projects and perform under pressure
- Negotiate timeframes and meet critical deadlines
- Collaborate with coworkers to complete job assignments
