Read and interpret job bid instructions and detailed specifications; prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job and estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, and equipment costs (including specialty equipment like lifts or generators) to prepare a thorough price estimate.
Work directly with Sales and Pre-construction Teams to understand the size and scope of projects along with timelines and applicable project deadlines.
Prepare detail-oriented and accurate estimates on new projects and estimate prices for any change orders on existing contracts, meeting assigned deadlines.
Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation presented by the client to accurately prepare and estimate projects, with a focus on electrical scopes.
Prepare "Take Offs" of mechanical/electrical materials, estimate all necessary shop labor and field installation, and determine materials, buyout items, and equipment costs to prepare a thorough bid estimate.
Collaborate with project leads and leadership to develop MEP estimates as part of the larger scope package.
Prepare pricing estimates on new projects and change orders on existing contracts, and summarize results with appropriate leaders to ensure complete job coverage.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, MEP systems, methods, and industry best practices. Familiar with HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems, Basic Mech Design knowledge.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Experience: Electrical Estimator (3-5 years) of experience in construction estimation, preferably with electrical systems.
Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent years of experience).
Be comfortable discussing alternative recommendations on projects in which management requires value engineering or alternative estimates to meet client needs.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in construction estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective working relationships.
Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
