Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
Installs, wiring, BMS and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshooting and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.
Repairs and maintains low voltage systems (under 120V).
Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installations.
Perform tasks with minimum supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth GDI Health & Safety policies and procedures
Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.

Excellent command of the English Language, both written and oral
Ambitious learner who wants to progress in their career for building systems.
Experience working with low voltage.
Valid Driver’s license.
Experience with programming languages or IT infrastructure an asset.
Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings.
Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals.
Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics
Clear communications in English – both written and oral.
Strong attention to detail, ability to execute precision work
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Appropriately handles and is familiar with all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.
Commercial / Construction installations experience
Experience in PLC an asset.
Experience with HVAC, building automation systems and VFD’s an asset
