Job SummaryThe Project Accountant is responsible for all project accounting for jobs assigned, acting as liaison between accounting and project management ensuring accurate and consistent billing and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized project contract files
- Coordinate subcontractor invoices and payments per contract terms and enter in the system
- Analyze projects; generate job costing reports to provide meaningful input to project teams and office management
- Review sub-contractors’ statements
- Review project labor and expense charges with Project Managers for accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide full backup billing of CM Job
- Interact with clients and vendors in a professional, courteous manner

- Construction industry experience required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office product applications (ex. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- 4 Year College Accounting Degree preferred
- Full understanding of AIA G702 and G703
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, functions, practices, and procedures within the construction field including cost coding and pricing, purchase orders, etc.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay flexible, while meeting deadlines and goals
- Proficiency in business software application Timberline
- Full understanding of Timberline BL, PJ, JC, AP modules
