- Design, plan, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions primarily in Microsoft Azure to support the government’s mission-critical workloads.
- Lead the development of cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting efforts for existing applications and infrastructure.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and tools to enhance the performance, automation, and cost-effectiveness of IT services.
- Provide Tier 3-level escalation support and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure incidents and performance issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant, and meet performance and availability requirements.
- Support the deployment and integration of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services in compliance with government cybersecurity and operational policies.
- Ensure cloud environments support high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies, aligned with mission resilience goals.
- Advise program leadership on technical feasibility, risk mitigation, and cost estimates for cloud initiatives and project proposals.
- Define cloud architecture standards and best practices for compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services within the Azure ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain cloud design documentation, implementation plans, and system diagrams to support architecture governance and change control processes.
- Serve as the technical authority on cloud strategy, guiding the modernization and migration of legacy systems into hybrid and cloud-native environments.

- Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform), cloud networking, identity management (AAD), and security controls.
- Active Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate certification AZ-104.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of government cloud security requirements and support implementation of STIGs, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust architecture principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- IAT level II.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading cloud architecture and migration projects, including significant experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Master's Degree.
