The firm is seeking a detail‑oriented, dependable Laboratory Technician IV for its Decatur, GA location. Under general supervision the technician will sample, process, and test materials according to established procedures, and may lead other technicians.
The position requires regular standing, walking, climbing and lifting up to 65 lb (moving up to 100 lb), as well as close, far, color, peripheral and depth vision. Employees must be able to work in noisy construction environments with exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes and vibration, while following safety protocols.
Work may involve irregular or extended hours to meet client needs and can include out‑of‑town or overnight travel to Raba Kistner offices, client sites, and project locations. The environment is typically loud, with the use of both non‑complex tools and delicate laboratory equipment.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Typically 5–8 years of experience in the field
- Preferred certifications: Troxler Manufacturing radiation safety, ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1, ACI Concrete Strength Testing, ACI Aggregate Testing (or willingness to obtain)
