Analyze test results to evaluate and determine performance, design qualities, and operating deficiencies for the product
Develop computer programs required to support and analyze design concepts with respect to performance and mechanical design.
Investigate manufacturing deviations and provide corrective action
Develop standard performance curves and calculation procedures to assist marketing in quoting products
Conduct studies and investigations to determine feasibility of designs associated with the application
May supervise and direct subordinates, product design engineers and/or technicians in the design and modification of components
Coordinate with other areas of engineering to assure contractual requirements are met. Conduct product improvement programs toward minimizing costs, improving performance and promoting standardization
Direct or perform the design and development of products and components of existing and new designs within the guidelines for product design that will meet industry and contractual requirements at the most efficient cost
Define product design requirements in accordance with contract requirements, including computation of performance
Investigate field problems and provide corrective action in terms of component redesign, revised operating procedures or maintenance practices

Independently performs assignments that require a thorough knowledge of thermodynamics, machine design, metallurgy, installation, operation and application
Candidates must have experience in design / development of Turbo-machinery or Rotating Equipment such as Pumps, Turbines, Compressors, Valves, Motors, etc for Industrial, Energy, DOD, or Aerospace Applications.
Experience in managing projects and working in a team environment
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aero Engineering discipline and 10+ years of experience on Rotating Equipment
This will work on DOD (Department of Defense) equipment and as such, candidates MUST have US Citizenship.
Ability to create UG drawings, 3-D models
Must be a Sole US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Knowledge of Oracle manufacturing systems/software
Background in Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Systems
Ability to travel 5% - 15% per year dependent upon projects assigned
