BIM Model Manager

Description

The BIM Model Manager role, based in Charlotte or Raleigh, will oversee the digital model environment and coordinate deliverables across multi‑disciplinary projects, supporting the project team from initiation through closeout while ensuring high quality and compliance with standards.

• Manage the digital model environment and project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and server infrastructure.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to establish and execute digital deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support and communicate deliverable schedules to project teams.
• Monitor model health, coordination processes, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Host coordination meetings and lead design reviews and 3D coordination sessions.
• Ensure the team has appropriate software, versions, access, and training.
• Generate and maintain model setup, including coordinates, scales, views, sheets, and scope boundaries.
• Archive project files at submittal and closeout milestones.
• Communicate and present digital deliverables to HDR management, production staff, and clients.

Requirements

• Demonstrate active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
• Local candidates are preferred.
• Technical degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of five years related industry experience.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D design software, coordination tools, and document management systems.
• Strong competency in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
• Deep understanding of engineering or architectural concepts and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
