Assisting in procurement and selection of main contractor.
Providing guidance and direction to Assistant Cost Consultant and other junior team members.
Participating in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
Providing cost control and reporting services during the contract.
Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.
Advising on administration of the terms of the building contract.
Managing stakeholders. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.

Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent).
Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration and contract management.
Experience in most forms of contract.
Understanding of present-day issues such as sustainability, social value and carbon reduction.
A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
