You will manage estimates from inception through completion, including subcontractor selection and buyout. This role positions you to actively engage with general contractor clients, ensuring thorough follow-up and seamless transitions to the project management team. Collaborate closely with industry professionals, grow your career, and make a lasting impact on prominent projects within the construction sector.
- Tracking changes in project scope and adjusting estimates accordingly
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work
- Maintaining historical cost databases and estimation tools
- Participating in bid preparation and submission processes
- Performing quantity take-offs and cost analyses
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and resolve discrepancies

- Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight GC deadlines
- Estimating experience within the construction industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel to visit clients and projects
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Pipedrive)
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or a related role
