The Role

Overview

Lead bridge design team, manage projects, mentor staff, develop client relationships.

Tasks

-Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, report on project status, and deliver design on schedule and within budget. -Lead the staff by offering technical guidance and mentor staff to facilitate career development. -Develop and maintain strong client relationships through performance, service and effective communication. -Manage bridge design projects from inception to completion, ranging in contract value and complexity and coordinate design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers. -Lead, monitor and review design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, construction cost estimates, construction drawings and specifications. -Manage complex technical work independently while mentoring and guiding less experienced team members. -Monitor and coordinate staffing with regional bridge leaders. -Responsible for managing Providence bridge team of approximately 6-10 engineers.

What You Bring

-MS Degree with concentration in Structural Engineering -Experience with RIDOT, the RITBA and other transportation agencies is highly desired -BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field plus 10 years of related experience overseeing bridge and other transportation structural design technical work or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Professional Engineering license -Project management experience -Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -Knowledge of AASHTO requirements
