Overview

Support civil engineering projects with AutoCAD Civil3D drafting, calculations, and field inspections.

Tasks

-Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans, plan and profiles, construction details, storm sewer, water and sewer facilities, pavement marking plans, cross sections -Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D -Coordination with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues -Preparation of project specifications, cost estimates, and construction plans -Calculation of quantities using Microsoft Excel and bid documents using Microsoft Word -Assist Project Engineers to make inspections and/or tests of work being performed, and materials used on construction projects, maintaining project diaries and reports

What You Bring

-An Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred but not required -Competent technical skills required to complete engineering tasks -Able to follow general directions and guidelines for the firm’s policies, practices, and procedures -Strong communication skills with team members and clients, demonstrates active listening techniques -Able to proactively pursue design solutions -3+ years of experience desired -Outgoing, friendly, approachable (team player) -Ability to be open to other's ideas and willing to compromise -Detail-oriented but also flexible enough to be big picture/conceptual -Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD Civil3D, Outlook) -A supportive team member with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative environment
