Doing the following in conjunction with project team members: determining design criteria, compiling data, designing various facets of project for construction, and maintaining reference material for design.
Preparing civil/grading plan sets and performing civil site design in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Civil site design includes, but is not limited to: grading design, access road design, and design of stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) for project sites. Experience with electrical substation, solar farm, electric lines, and other utility infrastructure design a plus.
Assisting in preparing project-related permit applications and reports.
Performing duties in accordance with project budgets and company policies and procedures.
Performing hydraulic/hydrologic calculations for erosion control and stormwater management design, preparing material and equipment specifications, and providing preliminary sketches and notes for drawings.

Daily use of various software (including, but not limited to): AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft (MS) Outlook, MS Teams, MS Excel, MS Word, and PDF software. Frequent use of HydroCAD, Google Earth, online GIS applications, and others.
Must be capable of: self-checking routine assignments, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems as they arise, and multitasking on several projects at once.
Two or more years of drafting/design work experience required.
Experience with/working knowledge of Autodesk (AutoCAD & Civil 3D) is required. Experience with Esri ArcGIS is a plus.
Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, and/or Civil/Survey is preferred.
Experience with civil/environmental design and hydrologic computations is a plus. Construction and field experience is a plus.
Must interface well with employees, customers, and clients at all levels. Must be prompt and responsive.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required.
