Assemble metal components by welding, using rivet, screws, various other fasteners
Maintain tools and equipment
Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job but with minimal direct supervision
Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
Measure, cut and shape metal materials according to the design
Install fabricated work according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
Inspect, assemble, and smooth seams and joints of burred surfaces
Inspect final products for quality and adherence to the specified design
Check all structure components prior to installation to prevent damage
Analyze all required blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches in order to fabricate and install desired product or part
Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools, and fasten them to foundation or other structure
Conduct process inspection, certification, and documentation
Use specialized tools and equipment for cutting and shaping metals by using anvils, blocks, brakes or forms using a hammer
Set up machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment

Extensive knowledge of structural, sheet metal repairs and modifications to include fabrication of sheet metal parts
Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency
Greater than four (4) years of experience metal fabrication work
Ability to detect errors and correct through proper channels
Ability to perform various types of welding
Ability to rig machinery and equipment to OSHA standards
Safety Training
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
Ability to make sketches to fabricate miscellaneous parts and make repairs
Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
Thorough working knowledge of blueprints to determine type of configuration and special instructions prior to installation
Demonstrates a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills
Four (4) years of experience in metal fabrication
