HELICOPTER MECHANIC

Overview

Perform scheduled and unscheduled MH-139 helicopter maintenance at Malmstrom AFB.

Key Responsibilities

• wiring repair
• preflight inspection

Tasks

-Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. -Cleans parts using cleaning solutions and polishing and lapping compounds. -Performs work under general supervision. -Performs aircraft maintenance transit inspections and fault resolution.

What You Bring

-Technicians must have a minimum of four (4) years aviation experience. -Secret Clearance (interim Secret to start). -Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. -HS diploma or equivalent. -Must apply for US Passport within 30 days of hire or provide proof of valid US Passport. -Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. -Driver's license required. -Must be able to pass DOT ground support physical.
