Principle Engineer

Description

• You are expected to write the first draft and lead by doing.
• Actively participate in the development and deployment of middleware solutions and data pipelines.
• Ensure data engineering best practices are followed, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline optimization.
• Architecting modern node-based applications (in Nest or similar modern technologies) with JavaScript/TypeScript expertise.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in middleware, data engineering, and enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype and validate new technologies and solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise application platforms that support business needs and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
• Write and review code to ensure high-quality implementation of architectural designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define platform architecture strategies and roadmaps.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Develop and maintain middleware solutions to enable seamless integration between various enterprise systems and applications.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of platform-related issues.
• Refactor and re-architect existing legacy middleware applications to align with modern architectural standards and business requirements.
• Monitor platform performance and implement improvements to optimize system efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• Lead by example, demonstrating technical expertise and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Extensive experience in reporting and analytics.
• Proven experience as a Platform Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar role.
• 13+ years of experience in Software Product development with 3 years minimum of experience as hands on Principal/Engineering leader
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in data engineering, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data platforms.
• Scalability and security experience.
• Strong expertise in middleware technologies (e.g., API gateways, message brokers, ESB).
• Solid understanding of enterprise application integration patterns, modular and microservices architecture.
