Tasks

-Effectively use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans and aerial photographs to assess project needs and assist in project approach; -Manage a two to three person field crew; -Maintain survey equipment and initiate repairs when necessary; -Establish and recover survey control and monumentation, perform construction layout, obtain sewer invert and subsurface utility information and photo documentation of the project area; -As necessary, assist with office tasks including, but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research and filing; and -Collect field data for preparation of surveys by using surveying equipment and software; -Communicate and collaborate with project managers to establish project goals, and provide daily updates regarding project status; -Apply knowledge and techniques of surveying and advanced mathematics;

-Demonstrated ability to effectively work with co-workers and managers; -Excellent communication skills; -Availability to travel overnight for select projects. -Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing; and -Proficiency in Carlson; AutoCAD or Civil 3D software a plus; -2+ years prior experience in office drafting and analysis to produce boundary, topographic and utility surveys; -Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, organizational and judgment capabilities; -High School Diploma; undergraduate-level courses in Survey or related field a plus;
