Operating Instructor

Description

• Supporting operator assessment and authorisation.
• Developing and delivering classroom and simulator-based training programmes.
• Preparing and validating training materials for SZC based on HPC replication.
• Maintaining and improving training processes and standards.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain situational awareness and work under pressure.
• Experience in nuclear operations, including graduates with a relevant science or engineering degree, or similar technical roles (e.g., operational control engineers, technical instructors from power generation or grid operations).
• Strong communication, mentoring, and problem solving skills.
• Previous technical training delivery experience.
• Completing initial training on PWR technology, EPR systems, and operational fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Systematic Approach to Training and Nuclear Operator Fundamentals
• Minimum qualification: HNC in a technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating a nuclear power plant or Pressurised Water Reactor.
