Senior Field Engineer – Wireline / E-Line

Description

As a Senior Field Engineer – Wireline / E‑Line, you will deliver a wide array of wireline logging services offered by Baker Hughes at wellsites in South Australia, ensuring data integrity and operational safety.

The role encompasses deploying wireline services, managing safe pressure‑control operations, acquiring high‑quality data, supervising crews, communicating with client representatives, advising on logging operations, and overseeing equipment both on‑site and in the shop.

• Deploy a wide variety of wireline and E‑Line services from the Baker Hughes portfolio at the wellsite.
• Manage the safe rig‑up and rig‑down of wireline pressure control operations.
• Acquire and deliver high‑quality data to meet client acquisition objectives.
• Supervise and manage a moderate‑size wireline crew.
• Advise the customer on logging operations, basic data interpretation, troubleshooting, and wellsite analysis.
• Supervise equipment at the wellsite and in the shop to provide specific logging and completions services.

Requirements

To succeed, you need a degree or equivalent, at least five years of wireline or E‑Line experience in land or offshore settings, deep knowledge of advanced cased‑hole and open‑hole services, proven pressure‑control competency, a valid driving licence, and relevant certifications. English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Cambridge English Advanced or OET) is required for the work permit.

• Communicate clearly and confidently with the client representative on‑site.
• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in wireline or E‑Line operations (land or offshore).
• Strong competency in advanced cased‑hole and open‑hole wireline services.
• Demonstrated pressure control competency and training on surface pressure control equipment.
• Valid local or international driving licence.
• Preferred licences: shotfirer, radiation.
• English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Cambridge English Advanced or OET) required for work permit.
• Flexible FIFO rotation working pattern.
