In this position, plumbers respond quickly to service calls, conduct thorough inspections, diagnose problems, and deliver accurate estimates while closing sales. They install and repair a variety of fixtures, perform sewer and drain cleaning in challenging environments, and ensure work sites are restored to pre-job condition. Additionally, they prepare invoices, collect payments, and communicate the Roto-Rooter guarantee to customers.
- Respond promptly to customer service calls, conduct thorough inspections, diagnose issues, provide estimates, and close service sales.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners.
- Perform sewer and drain cleaning in basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close‑quarter environments, then restore work sites to pre‑job condition.
- Prepare invoices, total costs of services/products, collect payments, and explain the Roto‑Rooter guarantee in writing and via smartphone.

Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, with a state plumbing license preferred, and possess at least three years of repair and service plumbing experience, including a proven sales record. Full knowledge of plumbing systems is essential, and new hires are expected to earn the required excavation certification within their first year. Strong written and oral communication skills are required for effective customer and team interactions.
